ISP Dilemma

Hello All,

I have recently moved into a new flat and I'm now looking for an ISP for home broadband.

I have checked what is available on my exchange (Aberdeen Lochnagar - NSLNG) and I have found that o2 are in the process of upgrading the exchange for their LLU service. I have been keeping a check on this for sometime now and the upgrade date keeps getting pushed back further and further. I have even contacted o2 and they have advised me that the current date has been moved to the 31st of March and even that date isn't set in stone.

So, I need an ISP and preferably I would like to go with the o2 £9.79 LLU service when it becomes available (Note: I’m an o2 iPhone 3G customer so I would qualify for the existing customer discount).

Should I just go for o2 Home Access broadband with the risk of being stuck on this for quite some time until the exchange is upgraded to LLU status or should I go with a totally different ISP? Based on my exchange, what would you recommend?

Also, I am a Sky & BT customer, so either of my current packages could be amended to add broadband.

Thanks in advance,

James

Sky obviously have not opened the exchange - no advantage there
BT - the non thinking persons service!
That leaves TAlkTalk and Orange who have opened up
I would check out o2 and await their opening
