Hi All
I have a bit of a Dilema, i want to change my ISP but not sure what to do. I want an LLU ISP but after reading about the contracts are either 3 months or 12 months i,m unsure ,the ones i was looking at O2 & Be are both getting bad reviews at present and would hate to go from the frying pan into the fire ,and be stuck with problems .The other thing i was thinking was to wait until my Exchange goes to the new 21n (24meg ) in march and go with an Enta ISP , but i,m unsure any HELP would be nice :(

21CN is a long way off being available to you. Be/O2 are essentially the same company and despite bad review they easily outstrip any BT reseller in terms of facilities. Support with domestic ISPs is always poor and probably always will be, I fail to see why people come on the internet at complain about it. It's worth bearing in mind you will only see the bad reviews, people rarely go ranting and raving about a connection that just works.
The only way to know is to try, and with a 3 month contract this is easier done than a BT reseller. Most of the issues people report are local to their area and shouldn't be seen as the biblical truth (or if you're agnostic they would be the biblical truth), you should also consider the fact you have no idea of their knowledge and abilities. They could mostly be idiots. (probably true).

Just try it out.

Thanks for that ,very useful info , i,ve just looked and my Exchange is earmarked for 21CN on 30th March 2009 , but as we know B.T never keep to dates ha! but you are right its just a matter of go for it ! and yes you never read many reviews on forums aboout how great they are ,just when there is a problem that is sorted out in time , they then become the bad ISP overnite ha! there is a say theres nout queer as folk lol

thanks

Make sure it's 21CN WBC and not 21CN PSTN that's March 2009.

Hi there thanks ,and yeah it is 21CN WBC Read this i,m in Letchworth :

BT 21st Century Network (21CN) rollout
You are connected to the Letchworth telephone exchange.

Wholesale Broadband Connect should be available in your area from March 31st 2009
There is currently no 21CN migration date for your PSTN service
To find out more about the switch to BT's new network you can visit Switched-on, a website setup by BT in consultation with Ofcom to provide information to consumers and businesses.
