Is anyone aware of an ISP that provides broadband subscriptions on either a monthly contract (prefered) or a 6 month contract?

Me and a friend have just moved to Chelmsford in Essex as we are IT contracting down here.

Moved into a flat we are renting at the start of the week and really need an internet connection.

We are only contracted for 6 months, but there is a possibility it could be extended. So a monthly subscription would be ideal.

Any help would be great! :)

You can get 1-3 months with some companies (Be's standard package, ADSL24, UKFSN etc) but you'll have to pay a connection fee, which varies from £20-60.

The thing with all enta suppliers which people have forgotten to mention here is that they charge a £47 connection fee so I'd suggest looking at going with Be* for this reason unless you dont mind the connection fee.

Kev!

You can also leave Be* with as little notice as you want but will need to pay them £40 for the privilege.

Entanet resellers ADSL24, UKFSN, TitanADSL

Any questions? Check our FAQ section.

All prices include VAT.
All plans are based on a 1 month contract - so you can cancel at any time with no charge.
If you don't already have broadband on your line, an initial setup fee of £47 (which BT charge us) is payable.
If you do already have broadband, you can transfer (migrate) to us for free (or £47 for LLU) with no downtime.
Off-peak is defined as 22:00 to 08:00 weekdays and Friday 22:00 through to Monday 08:00.
The usage allowance specified above includes downloaded and uploaded data.
If you go over you allocated usage amount there is a one-off £5.88 admin fee plus the difference to the next plan.
On the 8 Mbps services, factors such as the line quality and distance from your exchange determine the speed you receive

again I think enta is ok but for the initial 47 quid its not worth it.

Thats great guys, I appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Nice one :)

We are looking at Be but will need to find the line number to make sure they provide service to our area.
