i realise dynamic isnt going to make you invisible - but variable is a main
concern of my customer and customer is king

Your customer is ill informed. Dynamic IPs do not help security, they only give a false sense of security which is even more dangerous.

Educate your customer and then look for a decent ISP.

OT: Can't remember who it was who said it, but there's a good quote out there. Something like:

"It's important to remember that the customer is almost never right. However, the customer is always the customer."

Resonates here in my mind for some reason :)

i didnt say they thought it would make them invisible - blimey , talk about attitude !

if you had a real job you'd understand the concept of a customer

Easy tiger :)

As for the comment about customers, I am fully aware of how difficult customers can be, but it is your job as a specialist to educate them so they get the best solution for their needs. ;)

if you have a router you can actually change IP about 2 times a day before it wont work anymore, at least with my experience on Virgin.

You can do it with a command in the command prompt window aswell but i found it works better when you have a router.
