Still, Fibre to the cab and then coax to your house is a hell of a lot better than several km of a couple of strands of 40 year old copper.

A lot more people can get 100mb than can get 24mb on ADSL2+.

It is vastly superior imo. Just Virgin are **** which spoils the whole thing.

Another vote for ADSL24, or any Enta. reseller really as they are all the same, im on UKFSN and cant fault em.

If you stuck a DSLAM in a cab at the end of the street or whatever, most would get 24Mbps with ADSL2+ too, and more with VDSL/VDSL2 - you're comparing apples with oranges.
Whether it's superior to ADSL or not isn't the point, it's misleading to call it "fibre optic broadband" and imply a connection to FTTH/FTTC.

Looks like ADSL24 wins hands down.
However I will nag orange into upgrading my service and see what it's like.
Being cheaper and everything.

If they annoy me looks like it will be a move to ADSL24.

they are very **** for customer service even before i managed to get my connection activated, but i cant get any other provider due to not having any normal phone line connections. but the speeds are actually phenomenal, an average of around 2100kbps and a max of 2400kbps

I have BT and pretty happy with it. 7mb line though it still manages to pull 4+ during peak time. =)
