Issue after installing updates - Server 2008 R2

Hey guys,

Had the above after attempting to update a 2008 R2 build at work over the weekend. Now just seems to be stuck in an endless loop

If its not directly accessible via Safe Mode, would a LiveCD do? Wish I'd never offered to do the job now

Seen that often you just gotta install some updates reboot, then some more, then some more etc etc. Hope it's not a production server can take hours to revert

Yes it's just a folder. I has the current WU repository files

I have never known windows updates to be fixed with resetting the software distribution folder

There was absolutely nothing wrong in the end, it was just taking ages! Found out after the dust had settled and we were back on the desktop that one of the office rascals had pinched/swapped some of the ram out... the server was limping along with just 1gb

It's a fairly old bit of kit but I know it originally had at least 8gb. I know because I fitted it!
