Issue after overclock of CPU

Hey guys, following the advice given to me on here, i OC'd my i7 920 to 4ghz.

It is stable with IBT through 20 passes, memory passes memtest86, yet to do an 8 hour P95 though.

It has been running fine, it is water cooled so the max temp under a 20pass IBT was 71 on the highest core.

The issue that is puzzling me, is that after being left off for a while, my bios says Oc failure. I go into my bios, change nothing at all and it boots ok after... What could the problem be?

I am using an asus p6t.

Thanks

I had a problem like this ages ago when over clocking an old E5200 CPU, it was fine with two sticks of ram but with 4 sticks it sometimes wouldn't boot or fail on the over clock. Are you using all your ram slots?

It could be a cold boot issue, usually one/two clicks more dram v or dram/vtt cure it

Disable floppy drive a,that can cause startup issues sometimes even if your not using it

Yeah, happy with a stable OC of a 920 c0 at 4ghz... Think i could get more but my memory is holding me back i suspect... Still a 50% increase is good enough. Not bottlenecking my 670 which is cool.
