Issue installing Adobe master suite CS5.5 on new RMBP :(

I installed my adobe suite on my new RMBP and it seemed to work fine, but when I tried to launch any of the applications the icon jumped up and down but nothing happened..

Adobe support suggested un-installing and re-installing.

So i removed the software using the adobe application manager, tried to reinstall but .. nope. Nothing, wont re-install at all, the install.app doesn't do a thing.

Ive successfully since installed it (again) on my older iMac running ML without issues but there's nothing I can do to get it working on this new machine

Even tried formatting the drive and installing ML fresh - same issue (wont install at all).

Out of ideas.. heeelp!

Well no joy with the issue, Adobe support provided me with a download version and it has the same issue - installer wont run.

So to put it into perspective:

Disc works on my iMac (2010)
Disc works on my mates rMBP
Download works on my iMac
Download works on my mates rMBP
Disc does not work on my rMBP
Download does not work on my rMBP



All they could offer was 33% discount on CS6 for the troubles - and considering I need the software I had to go for it.
Annoyed but on the other hand CS6 looks much better on the retina display so

No, stand alone. It's £471 as an upgrade from 5.5, then deduct 33% and it's pretty good value really.
I was reliably informed the upgrade wouldn't need 5.5 to be installed - just the CD Key and verification through my adobe account - so shouldn't be an issue.
