Hi all,

I upgraded my Home Hub 2 the other day. I have successfully forwarded a couple of ports to different devices and they work fine.

However trying to get remote RDP connection working it just isn't having it (I'm 80% sure this worked and I tested it yesterday, but today it just won't work). When I tested it I was already at home on the same network, but used the external address to test it (so should be OK as a test?)

Port scanning tools show the port as closed, and I even tried to use a different port which still shows as closed

Very confused especially as the other two ports I've forwarded are fine

Anyone got any ideas please?

Thanks in advance! :)

NAT loopback is why it worked.

Have you tried temporarily disabling windows firewall, and then running the online test?

If you have an Android phone, there's a Microsoft Remote Desktop client for that. Very handy as you can test it over the internet by disabling the wireless on your phone.
