Hi all,

I have finally got roaming working properly between a BT Homehub (main router), Cisco Meraki MR12 and a Linksys WAG160N (as an AP, in bridged mode)... Or so I thought

The actual roaming works fine, I tested it earlier. But then I powered up one of the wired PCs and it came up as connected to an unidentified network with limited connectivity. It has something like an automatically assigned IPv4 address when checked in command prompt and no default gateway set. The first time this happened I tried setting an IP manually, but this still didn't seem to solve it.

What does solve it is unplugging the Linksys router from the power and rebooting the PC.

Also then I noticed (after plugging the Linksys back in) after a little while of playing PS3, the PS3 disconnected and came up with an error message saying the problem was DNS related.

Does anyone know specifically what this problem may be and how to fix it?

I know the Linksys router is slightly faulty, hence why it isn't the main router as the wireless signal sometimes stops being sent out completely, requiring a restore of the router settings to get it back again (it is very old), but that seems like a separate issue.

As a side note, it seems that wireless devices are unaffected by any issues.

Does anyone have any ideas please??

Thanks in advance! :D
