Hi.

Recently I bought Samsung 970 Evo and pcie card to speed up my system.
I forgot only about one thing. To check do my mobo allow that type of card and do I can boot from that drive.
Answer- no, it cant.
Asrock in one of bios files give description (p3.30p) that it "Modify settings for SM951 M.2 SSD (Installed by additional PCIE to M.2 card)".
Im using F3.40bios. and I dont see any option to boot from pcie. Windows installer detects it, mobo not.
Do any one of users have solution for that issue? Or can redirect me to source?:)
I send ticket to Asrock support but for now its quiet.

Thanks for any help

It'd appear as windows boot manager under UEFi devices if it's done right.

To be able to boot with most nvme drives on x79, you'd need to mod the bios to add the modules it needs. I had to do this for a Z77 mb.

I know some samsung drives will work with older UEFI boards with CSM switched on. So try that first.
