Issue with installing flash

Hi there,

I have a problem installing flash on my laptop - I'm using Vista. I've tried installing off the website and it seems to error - it doesnt make it to the flash completion clip. Flash is in the add/remove programs though which is strange. This has an impact on some websites I'm viewing as the flash content is not displayed.

I have tried uninstalling and clearing tempary internet files etc and this does not fix.

Does anyone have any ideas how I might fix this?

Which version of browser are you using? x86 or x64? Flash only works with 32 bit flavour.

This is on a collegues machine - I will check in a bit but if x64 - how do I get it to work then??

Use the 32 bit version.

Try the following (had this last night on gf's machine, but that was XP / IE7).

(Open up IE) Tools - Internet Options - Programs - Manage Addons.

Look for Adobe and make sure they are not disabled, if they are enable them.
