Just bought the msi gtx970, installing it earlier and encountered a problemo.

Got through to windows, ran the setup program and started installing drivers..After a minute or so, screen goes black and no signal. Restart and it doesnt get all the way through windows, just to the logo and then bam, no signal.

Is this likely to be a psu issue? Ive got 600w and had hoped that was enough. Any suggestions would be lovely.

Your PSU should be fine. Just to get the basics out of the way, have you made sure both 6 pins are plugged in properly?

I got the exact same card yesterday and had similar problems. Look in the bios for a PCI Priority setting and change it to legacy. The default setting for my motherboard is EFI and it wouldn't boot into windows with that setting. If you are having problems getting a signal then check the power cables going into the card, i had the same problem and it was caused by the 8 pin cable, i just used the adapter that came in the box instead and it worked fine.

I had this and it was during the driver install it switched to my TV which was connected by hdmi. It must prioritise hdmi over dvi I guess. You don't have 2 monitors plugged in do you?
