Hi guys, a DJ friend of mine is having an issue.
He uses audacity to record his mixes onto his laptop via the line-in/mic input and in the past on his Compaq this worked hunky dory. He uses audacity.
He recently purchased an A200 Toshiba, and set everything up as he has gone before. First off audacity did not recognise any input but after some fiddling it found the line-in. Unfortunately however, the input is very badly distorted.
Any ideas on what the issue may be? Could it be the laptop needs the driver updated for the inboard sound card.
And a further point, would he see any benefits from purchasing an external sound card (usb), and if so which would would he be looking at.
