Please could I ask for some help with the following issue? For the first time I've delved into Radeon Settings to try and reduce the massive amount of heat produced by my poor old R290 when playing Battletech. I'm trying to use the Frame Rate Target Control to reduce to 30 FPS but for some reason it refuses to work. I've tried setting up a profile specifically for the game and (having deleted that profile as I coundn't get it to work) use the Global options - but have had no success. According to the AMD site it should work with an R290 but I'm clearly doing something wrong :(

Does anyone have any suggestions or other things I could try please?

it's pretty straight forward, pick the game activate frtc, set the limit save, then launch the game ( or reboot if it was already launched ).
if that doesn't work try global settings and set frtc there.

I agree - it SHOULD be that simple - however I have done just that and it doesn't work - most frustrating.

I shall give Afterburner a go and see if I have more success :)
