Issue with resolution changing on one monitor

Guys,

I have an intermittent issue that is winding me up! It's happened about 3 times in the past 4 weeks and there appears no fix other than wait for it to sort itself out.

I have a 780 and three BenQ XL2420T's connected via DP, HDMI and DVI.

It's the first monitor connected via DP that changes to a 800x600 res, this is usually my main display for the PC.

What could cause this? I had gone away and noticed the display was off so it had malfunctioned whilst doing nothing, rebooted and the res problem was there.



Any ideas?

(For the record the only resolution I can change it to is 800x600)

Have you tried turning it off and re-enabling it in that very same control panel?

Can you elaborate on turning it off?

Just to add, and this has never happened before, but I rebooted the PC and it was ok on reboot, 15 mins later, monitor said lost signal and went off...It's never cocked up again so soon after usually.

I'm not sure it will help, but you weren't clear whether you even tried it ... also, have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting that display?

Hi,

I will next try that when it reoccurs, I think I did try that previously.

I have swapped the DP and DVI over with another monitor to see if the same issue reoccurs.
