issue with user rights on users own mailbox

Im in the process of removing a few users from domain admins and setting up their special admin accounts etc however 1 user seems to have an issue by when I remove him from domain admins group he loses access to his mail in both outlook and owa :S?

he already has ntauth\self and domain\username to have access but still no joy ?

any ideas ?

Haha few users, we have a few domain admins full stop. Always makes me laugh that this group is so heavily over used in most organisations.

Have you pulled out a list of permissions on the mailbox itself?

I'd do a Get-Mailbox USERNAME | Get-ADPermission | export-csv C:\permission.csv

and then compare that to a user who IS working ok. Might be a starting point.

If that's not doing it maybe you could remove the mailbox and re-add it to his user account?
