Just upgraded my case to a Phanteks P600s and also purchased the Phanteks GPU Vertical Mounting Cable.

Fitted it all but when I have my GPU (3080Ti) in the Vertical GPU Cable I get no signal to my monitors but mounted in the Mobo (Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master) it works fine.

Nothing is shorted and the cable is screwed to the plastic vertical mount that comes with the case.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

You should manually set the PCI-E to 3.0, otherwise won't work.
Simply connect the GPU to the motherboard, without using the Vertical Mounting. Change the setting to 3.0.
You should be fine.
Just remember that, when updating the BIOS in the future, you'll have to do that again, at least my Asus requires me to.

I have just fitted my RX6700 XT Gaming X to a vertical GPU mount. I set the PCI-e in the bios to auto on my X570 Auros Elite mobo and works fine
Some motherboards may work, but to make sure, I recommend to set manually to 3.0.
The issue is with watercooling, and after every BIOS update, the chance of the GPU not working, until it is connected directly to the motherboard and the PCI-E set to 3.0 again.
