Hi guys, i have a laptop i am fixing for someone, the wifi adapter only shows when pressing fn + f10, When its showing i can connect to wifi no problems, When i restart i need to press fn + f10 every time. There no software runnign the wifi connection only windows, I have updated the drivers to the latest i can find, and nothing. any ideas on how to fix?

My fathers laptop did the same thing, it turns out he had to disable windows wifi control and use the intel wifi software for his wifi card. Once he installed and activated that sofware it kept the wifi turned on.

Also check power options, sometimes laptops start in powersaver mode on battery power, and they can have wifi disabled in them options under battery use.

Whats the model of laptop?

There might be a bit of software thats required from the makers website to start it up every boot.

Seen a couple of models where Fn solution was only option.

Hi Thanks Guys, Reinstalled windows still the same, and tried to look for new drivers etc. came to the conclusion it was broken as when it was switch off 1 usb port wouldnt work, It was few year old custom ******** laptop, Replaced it with an Belkin wifi USB dongle works perfect now.
