Hi all.

Been a while since I delved into PC Gaming so decided to pick up a XFX 5850 yesterday (the AVP bundle).

Installed it into the system however nothing is showing on the monitor when switched on. I am wondering if my PSU is enough to power it? According to eXtreme PSU Calculator it should be fine?

Specs below;

Abit IP35 Pro
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66
8GB DDR2
1 x 2TB Western Digital Green
Samsung DVD-ReWriter
520W Corsair HX PSU
2 x 120MM fans
1 x 80MM fan

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Your PSU is fine. Are the BIOS settings set to defauly? Did you plug in both power cables to your graphics card? Is your CPU overclocked?

Is the screen working fine with other outputs? Does it go black when you switch the PC on or when it loads up the OS? Did you try another DVI/HDMI connector from your graphics card?

A friend had the same issue, he got it working after about 10 hrs+ messiing with the bios etc..

He still isn't sure how he got it to work/boot.

3 weeks on and his card has been sent back to Asus/supplier as it's now faulty.
