Issue with Yamaha RX-V667 and HDMI from HTPC.

Everytime I switch my amp on Windows 7 re-detects it as a display which screws up the plasma settings and throws up a message saying my HDMI doesn't support sound, which is does.

Is there any way around this. I'm guessing disabling the amps upscaling should fix it but haven't tried it yet.

Any ideas?

Try switching the amp off and on again.

If i boot pc before switching on the amp it does the same but the above works for me.

I have this amp
I take it you have an ati gfx card
disable the ati driver helper in services

It sort of fixes it but its luck of the draw if you get 2 channel or 8
