I have just brought a 2nd ipad for the house. It has been set-up with the same itunes account, this is because it is for my young daughter and i want to control the use. The issue is Facetime. As it is set-up with the same itunes and e-mail they cannot talk to each other. When i go into Facetime settings and change the e-mail to use in facetime it updates both.

Any help would be appreciated.

yeab.. its works..
just add another email to the apple id and make sure that both you can be reached and caller id is set to the same but different on each of the ipads.

so ipad 1 will have just ticked you can be reached... email 1 and caller id email 1 and

ipad 2 will have just ticked you can be reached. email 2 and caller id email 2.

What happens if you receive a Facetime call and have multiple idevices using the same Apple ID? Does it "ring" on all of them? i.e. I have it currently set up on iPod touch but I'm adding an iPad mini to my collection next week.

Yes it will ring all the devices that are connected to the net with the same
address, my missus has an ipad and ipod etc etc and they all ring if she gets factimed its quiet funny

I have the same issue.. lol

my private one sets off all my personal devices and work devices but my work one has only been set to ring on my work devices. so my boss knows if I'm receiving a personal face time or a work face time by the number of devices that starts ringing at once. :)

Just select which email address each ipad can be reached on. We have 4 iPads and 2 iPhones on the same appleid and its fine, although every device does receive a notification if the settings on one is changed, but they don't all start ringing if one is contacted.

all our idevices have different emails so we all get our own imessages and facetime stuff.
