In my house we usually have 2 computers on the net at once, ones hardwired to the router and the other is connected via wireless. For some reason the router is freezing for the wireless computer when it tries using the bandwidth for more than 10 minutes. Im on 1MB with AOL silver, and im only getting about 55KB/s down which is crap enough but i assume its because we have always had bad internet connection where I live.

When im downloading at say ~50kb for 10 minutes eventually the network wont respond... It tells me im still connected with excellent signal strength at 54MB/s, but I cant access the net, or even the router settings "192.168 etc..." but the computer hardwired to the router never has any issues.

This problems really really bugging me, is there some magical settings to solve this issue, or is the router just plain borked or something? :(

Cheers

yep I have a belkin an you know what I have the same prob, I did some diggin a while back found its a common issue and there is some beta firmware that is supposed to help. google it...

I gave up with the router in the end, bought some 'homeplug' products to share connections around the house and have been totally happy ever since - its such a relief to nolonger worry whether the connection will hold or not.

Ditch the Belkin imo. Although if u do get it working, let me know what you did lol ;)!
