Issues With Boot Up Install

Hey
Everytime i try to use my windows 7 Cd when i boot up my computer it should say "Boot from install Cd Please Press Enter" but it doesnt but when i put it in on the desktop screen on my laptop it works anyone got any clues to why?

Did you burn the disc yourself?

If you burned it yourself it is possible for it to work fine in Windows - i.e. explore its contents etc but not be bootable.

yeh i burnt the disk, is thr a recommed speed i should do it at, but i was lookin at the files and the boot install file is thr

When burning DVDs in Windows XP I always chose a middle speed. Usually left it at Maximum in Windows Vista and 7.

If you want to be safe try the slowest speed possible. It'll take a while, though.
