So windows 7 has started playing up so that everytime I boot up and it gets to the windows logo its stick there.

I then have to power off to restart and I get the windows erorr page with option to carry on loading or go to windows repair.

I choose windows repair and it scans and tells me it can't repair anything so I restart and then it loads perfectly.

Really starting to annoy me and wondered if anyone got some tips.

Currently using Win 7 on Corsair SSD.

Do you have any other drive plugged in? I had an issue a bit like this having a USB card reader plugged in with a micro adapter with the mini in it in the reader. Have you scanned the drive(s) for errors? Does anything show in event viewer at the time of start up?

I've ran checkdisk on all my drives and no errors. Will have a look at my ram although don't really see how thats effecting the startup but not when the PC's inuse

- Remove all USB devices except mouse/kb.
- Run a memtest.
- Increase the voltage to your ram slightly.
- Try messing with USB related options in the bios.
- Disconnect your DVD drive.

One of the above is usually the culprit.

I had this issue intermittently on a Gigabyte UD5. The ram voltage was the solution.
I did alter some advanced USB settings (Ctrl+F1 in the Gigabyte bios) but I can't see that really helping.
I thought I'd mention it in case it works for you and it's something fruity within Gigabyte's bios.
