Issues with DVB-S2 card

Just bought a cheap Compro S900 DVB-S2 card (USB) and I'm having quite a few issues.

Despite being a DVB-S2 card, I cannot seem to get a working channel of either BBC1 HD or BBC2 HD. I can get C4 HD, ITVHD and other HD channels like RT HD.

I've scanned the 28.2e satellite and get pretty much everything I did on my old DVB-S card.

It's annoying because I got C4 HD and ITVHD (and BBCHD before it was moved) on my old £20 DVB-S card. This new 'card' isn't giving me anything extra. I only bought it to get BBC1HD/BBC2HD and free a PCI slot.

I also get messages such as 'this tuner is already in use' and other such things. I've tried it in both WMC and XBMC/MediaPortal.

I've also tried using it with the onboard HD4200 as well as my HD7850. No luck.

All out of ideas. Need some more before I have to RMA it. :(

2 x BSOD now when changing channels. I wish I'd read the reviews at the Rainforest before I bought this.

Also another thread from someone experiencing pixelated picture with this box and BBC HD channels.

For what its worth i have no problems at all with a SkyStar2 PCI card. Its the card of choice really and gives little issue, you might as well get one of these.

I had to get a USB box rather than PCI as my current card was seated too close to my graphics card. Will look at the SkyStar2 card as a potential future buy. It's PCI-e isn't it?

If anyone was considering buying the Compro S900, don't. I was very happy with my Compro S350 so didn't hesitate to buy Compro again. It's a mess of a product. The latest issue is that it keeps disconnecting itself. :(

It's going back anyway.
