Issues with fitting rad to cm690, best way to proceed?

Hi guys,

I've been attempting to fit the coolermaster liquid pro 240 and I'm having problems. The fan mounts appear to be spaced differently which means I've only been able to mount one end of the rad. The other four holes are more towards back of case. Also the stock fans are too thick next to RAM.

Can I buy a 240mm rad mounting bracket? Like used on the mastercase? I was thinking of cutting the top section out to fit one if it's possible

Here's a few pics that will hopefully show the dilemma.

Hope you can see what I'm waffling on about lol

This is the bracket I'm talking about, can't see it for sale separately in U.K. Though :/

I was thinking that there may be enough room between the fascia and chassis to mount this then it will bring the whole rad/fan assembly in slightly avoiding RAM slots

Are you saying the fans supplied with the cooler don't fit? Send it back?
Andi.

No the fans fit the rad, it's my case that is the issue. It's not designed to take a cooler so not all mounting points line up, and also as it shows in pic the stock fans would be too thick if I were to mount it 'as is', one side would clash with ram. I'm trying to rectify the problem, either by cutting top out and fitting a mastercase rad bracket or drill through and use slimmer fans mounted to pull hot air through the rad

With the mastercase bracket I may be able to mount the fans inside the case and rad on outside between fascia mesh and bracket too. Just not sure best method hence posting here to see if anyone else has come across this before
