Issues With Mobile Broadband

Hi,

I've been having a few problems with Mobile broadband (Three) for the last few months. Used to be able to get get 4G but it's now a very poor signal. 3G is much faster (though upload is not that good). I often have to turn off the router, reinsert the Sim card and move the router a bit

Just did a Speedtest (Supportal) 3G Ping 77 ms, DL 3.4 Mbps UP 1.0 Mbps (21:00) 4G Ping 61 ms , DL 4 Mbps , UP 3.5 Mbps (23:05)

I ocasionally get time outs where the Ping stays at 999 ms where I have to relocate the router (Huawei 8310S-22). Sometimes there is something updating in the background but other times I'm uncertain why.

Also my location (Google Search) is rarely accurate. It shows up as varying locations throughout the UK often alternating with nearby familiar places ten to twenty miles away, but rarely my exact location. I wonder why this is ?

I contacted Three and it was mentioned that there is a lot of work going on with the Networks at this time and that I should try and troubleshoot as mentioned above...

Can anyone shed any light on this situation ?

Thanks

You're lucky to get an IP location that's even in the correct country. Even my fixed-line broadband has me based in London which is roughly 100 miles away. Personally, I prefer it that way (although they obviously have many other ways of tracking your location).

I was a bit worried my connection had been hacked....
