Caporegime
As you can see in my outdated sig, I was happily buzzing along at 3Ghz with my E2160 and Katana 2.
Since bumping the Katana whilst taking out a stick of ram and it loosening, I lost faith in the flimsy mounting mechanism.
So I sold it on, and got myself a LGA775 mounting adaptor and a Thermaltight XP-120 at a very good price, which I installed last night.
Whilst using the stock hsf in the interim, I dropped my clock down to 2.3Ghz, but with my new beast I could go back up to 3Ghz.
Trying for 333x9 with 1.45Vcore, as I had before, temps maxed in Orthos at 59, which is fine, better than my Katana gave me, but I still got a random reboot after about 5 minutes.
Memory is as slack as always 5-5-5-15, so I can't figure out the root cause.
Bumping the Vcore up to 1.5 saw it run Orthos for 20 minutes with no issue, but my temps hit 68ºC, which is too high.
Currently have it stable at 2.8Ghz with 1.4 Vcore.
Anyone have any settings for the MSI Neo2-FR I can try out, all the extra votages for NB/SB confuse me.
