issues with new mobo?

hey guys.


So ive just swapped out my mobo and everythings running, but what i cant seem to do is load into windows properly now?

Whats happening is the windows login comes up...then just sits there and loads but never takes me to my desktop. just sits there with the spinning logo. It does how ever let me log in on safe mode with all the icons on the desktop?

im using windows 7 64bit...anyway around this without having to wipe the HD? or is it just 'easier' to do that?

Its always best to do a fresh install of windows when changing a motherboard.

IF you can get in via safe mode then its either a driver or piece of software that starts on boot causing the issue. From safe mode uninstall all the hardware drivers you can, remove any antivirus and remove anything else unnecessary from the startup tab in msconfig and see if it will boot like that

Then you can get the new boards drivers installed and get antivirus back on.

Or you can try a repair install or a fresh install.
