Issues with opening the network for another pc

I'm trying to get my internet to work on another computer but I'm struggling to figure how to do it. The password for the wifi is right and it connects but gives a message in the lines of "signal found but not connecting". On other things such as my mobile phone and tablet the wifi is connecting without a problem but I just can't figure out what is the issue here.
If I remember right I did get some code when I installed the new router and set up the network but I can't find it now.

Anyone got some ideas about what to do?

What is the strength of the signal? Is the aerial hidden behind the PC case?

The signal is very good, 3 out of 4 bars. The aerial isn't hidden at all. On my standard computer I'm connected with cable from the router but I need to connect a computer in another room and not having an option of drawing a cable there.
The signal is still very good in the other room but it is like the computer finds the network but only gets half signed onto it.

Is there another network on the same channel? Have you tried changing the channel?

Would need an exact error code and the steps you're taking to help diagnose.
