Hi,

I'm having some problems with my computer, maybe you guys could shed some light on the issue.

CPU: phenom ii 955 be
Mobo: asus m4a785td-v evo
Psu: coolermaster silent pro 700w
Gfx card: nvidia 9600gt

I decided to download amd overdrive to check temps and whatnot. Then I saw the volts of my processor being at 1.4 volts, thought that can't be right as my CPU is on stock speeds of 3.2 and the default volts is around 1.3. So I changed it back down to 1.3. That was last night.

I booted ip my PC today and was playing some cod then everything went black. I cleared my CMOS and rebooted. Everything seemed fine after that, then a few hours later it happened again. But this time the PC will turn on but won't post. I've tried everything, took both ram sticks out and tried in different slots, taken out the gfx card and disconnected all the Sata cables.

I just can't get it to post to even the bios. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Posted this on iPhone so forgive if it's hard to read :P

the standard volts for the phenom II 955 is 1.35V. try putting it up to that and see if you get any problems.

running it at 1.4V wont do any harm whatsoever and it may just be that you've got a poor chip that needs the extra volts to run at 3.2Ghz properly. if you really need to you can put it up to 1.5V without any problems

*edit*
one day i will learn to read the entire OP. kinda stumped by that one

I've done everything involving 1 set of all hardware. I found the problem, it seems something blew on the mobo. Thanks for the feedback though!
