I have WinXP on one drive and Vista Ultimate on the other. Booting into Vista is no problem, but when I boot into XP the Saitek Eclipse usb board does not work.

I have enabled, disabled and auto'd legacy usb in the bios with no change. I know I could attach a PS2 keyboard but I would still like to find a solution.

have you tried uninstalling all traces of the keyboard in both vista and xp?

Try uninstalling both xp and vista keyboard traces - then plug and play into the XP install before doing the vista one (as you know it works in vista)

Could also try

Plugging the keyboard in the different USB ports.

Updating the keyboard firmware/driver

Updating the motherboard bios/drivers/USB Drivers.

Fully Update Windows XP.

Enable Keyboard or USB 2.0 support in bios. (sounds silly, but more than just legacy usb enabled is sometimes needed for XP)

Have you tried the Keyboard on a mates XP installation?

or last resort you could get a USB > PS/2 convertor to see if the keyboard then works in XP
