Right, im new to BB, but im on Sky Tier 3, UPTO 16Mb D/L speed, unlimeted usage £10 p/m, BUT my line can only carry 8Mb, i know because BT have said, but im only getting 3Mb to my PC, and no-one else is on the internet except me, so were is my other 5mb, and ive got a Netgear Router, is there anyway to boost my internet speed?

look on sam knows, and find how close to the phone exchange you are, also where are are you getting the 3MB figure from? If its not from your modem its *probably* not the speed you synching at, if you using a speed test, take note that, generally they are not very accurate, as there are many factors that can affect that speed.
Ps try restarting you modem at an off-peak time like 4am...

Try logging into your router and check the connection speed from there.
Type 192.168.0.1 into your web browser and it should ask you for a username and password these are admin and sky.
Underneath the Modem sub heading it will show you the downstream connection speed.
