Earlier this morning I was playing some Warhammer 2 Total War, and my PC locked up big time. I turned it off, and on again, and went back to my game... Same happened...

I rebooted again, removed my OC, and went inside my case, my watercooler was rather hot and not vibrating...

I was just playing some FM18 and got "whea_uncorrectable_error".

Now, I've been out of the loop for a few years and moved my knowledge onto other things, but... Am I right in thinking that this is only due to overheating, probably a pump failure?

If so, hows the Dark Rock Pro 4?

Yup, sounds to me like you pump has given up, for now, if you have one, use the stock cooler without an overclock, as for the dark Rock Pro 4, I can't comment on it, looks like a pretty beefy piece of kit, but I've not use a heatsink and fan in about 15 years.

My case can house any cooler (I think) it's the Phanteks Evolve ATX.

I went down to OCUK HQ and got the Dark Rock Pro 4, temps are sitting lower already on the desktop (Previously sat at 46C, now 30C)... My room is a tasty 24C ambient though...

UPDATE:

Just put my OC back on, and ran a quick 5 minute OCCT test. Temps peaking at 65C~ and it's not actually that loud, pleased!
