It Beeped at me ?

Hi Dudes of W&S.
I hope i am in the right section and also hope you can reassure me or sort me out.
Basically my system beeped at me. Just one beep lasting a little over a second. It happened whilst i was browsing downloading and when i selected something else to do aswell. I had 2 IE's open and was downloading a file and i clicked to open the my computer bit and then it beeped. There was no lock up or freeze and no reboot or anything else it just beeped and carried on as normal.
Temps are fine and today they are a few degrees lower than it has been running all week due to the drop in ambients so it's not that. My system has been up and running for years and is continuously cleaned out as far as dust spyware etc.
So what do you guys reckon then ? what's with the one beep

does your motherboard come with a manual, usually it will state what the beeps mean, however this is usually prior to boot up... pushing too many keys at once would beep, but you probably would have realised that

mybe its trying to tell u that its TIME (sound from X files and room goes dark).
