I'm currently studying towards gaining my MCSE and have all of the MS press books. To be honest, i'm find it a challenge to read through all of them. However, i can get my hands on some Train Signal training videos, and just wanted peoples opinion on them. I've had a look at the site, and they seem to cover everything, but what i want to now is, is it actually possible to pass the exam and gain the necessary knowledge purely by just using these videos? I would have thought my chances were better, as you can actually see what's going on in the video, and try it at the same time using a virtual machine, but do these videos go into enough depth?

I'd give it a go with Train Signal. I passed a number of exams by watching CBT nuggets and then studying the Sybex book for the exam I was working towards.

The best video based training I have used so far is Testout. This offers a combination of video based training with simulations and exam questions at the end of each chapter.

http://www.testout.com/ - though it works out very expensive. As a result I have only used it for one of my exams.

One word of advice I would give you is not to start studying using one source of material, decide that it isn't good enough and stop using it. No matter what you use as study material you will find faults with it. Keep blasting on, and then test your knowledge and supplement it if required.

They would help but you'll need the books as well the vids will not go into any depth.
the books are boring as hell.

Never did pass My MCSE stopped after the 1st couple of MCP's
it was working at a Level below what I was already working at so seemed pointless.
the Exams at the time where also pointless, Examcrams could get you though it.
