It is a good idea to go from IPS to TN(8-bit) panel?

I am using the Dell U2713HM (1440p/IPS/60hz) for the last 6 years and I remember how I was blown away with the excellent colors compared to the 6-bit TN panel that I had before. Now I am thinking to upgrade to a new monitor with 144hz and freesync but I am looking for TN panels as I don't think I want to spend the extra money for an ips.

Currently I am looking at the Dell S2719DGF as it is reasonably priced (for 27"/1440p/TN 8-bit/144hz/freesync/1 ms) and it looks like the freesync will work well with my nvidia gpu as shown on the list (link)

Should I do it or I will be disappointed by the colors?

I went through this a couple years ago and came from a Hazro HZ27WC which uses the same panel (LM270WQ1) as your Dell U2713HM.

I tried out both the Benq xl2411 and the Benq xl2730, settling on the xl2730. The xl2730 after some (by eye) calibration looks just as good or better than my old Hazro IPS. The xl2411 (6-bit TN) was much worse, as I remember my previous TN panels being.
The Benq xl2730 uses an AUO M270DTN01.0 and the Dell S2719DG looks to be using an AUO M270DTN01.5, assuming the S2719DGF uses the same panel as the S2719DG I'd guess it's pretty much the same.

You should check out the full reviews for yourself and make a more informed decision:
Dell U2713HM
Dell S2719DG

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the swap, as long as you plan to use it straight on as a monitor because the viewing angles sure aren't great, as you'd expect from TN.
