Just been reading about this and watched the footage, pretty sickening watching the child in the last few seconds, what must he be thinking.

But, is this going to turn into something similar to when the dead child washed up on the beech?

The way that was jumped on by the media and what came after from the media and EU leaders was pretty shocking, and sickening.

Hope the child does ok.

read his family survived too so i am sure he will be ok.

Poor kid,But like mentioned what are we going to do about it?

Until people stop fighting over religion and land..(which will never happen) this will carry on and on and on.
 
1) Social media outrage

2) Possible more bombings

3) More terrorist attacks in retaliation for bombings

Back to 1.

We should leave the place to sort itself out, stop getting involved in entire hell hole of a region and let thier god sort them out.

Or nuke from orbit, its the only way to be sure
 
Poor little sod's too scared to cry. :( Wars will only stop when we grow out of all the cults of Religion and all weapons become non-profit or even better punitively expensive to manufacture. Too much cash made in Wars for them to ever be made obsolete.
 
I have got no real idea who is fighting who, or why to be honest.

What I do know is innocent civilians are dying and there seems to be zero done about it.
 
I'm quite a heartless guy, 9/11 - didn't care, mass shootings - don't care, but now and again you get a story about an individual and it hits home with me. This story and the one about the shot child in America really bothered me when I read them.

I'm sure better, more educated men don't know how to solve this problem, i sure as hell don't. I don't even know where to start making things better.

I'm just fed up that in a world where we achieve so much good we can also be so cruel and vile.

we do these horrible things to ourselves, its a crying shame:(
 
I'm not sure what the shocking and sickening things the media and EU leaders did after the boy on the beach, but I'm assuming these images are to highlight the plight of the the people of Syria, using actual footage of people being injured and killed. They make much more of an impact than just some faceless reporting.

Once the plight is highlighted and the public get involved it helps force politicians to actually do something, such as after the photo of the dead boy on the beach, there was a push to help the refugees.

Perhaps this photo, as mentioned partially at the bottom of the article, will force public opinion and in return try and force governments to stop pumping weapons to opposing sides in this war, and help eventually stop it. We have already seen a softening over Assad from the US side so you never know, countries may start finally heading towards a more peaceful resolution to this crisis, and perhaps provide more help and aid to the refugees, whether that be money, resettlement or other help.
