Hi guys, I am looking for advise. I am looking for IT managment similair to O&O Syspectr Business Large, Preferable something thats cloud based that can be installed on the computers with minimum fuss. Or any advice or ideas. Reason i am asking is I have 15 client computers I want to monitor with the possibly of future expansion within the office and at other sites.

Within the Office UltraVNC is free and does the job a lot of the time.

Otherwise you could look into Teamviewer (Fantastic product, though it is pretty expensive) or WebEx?

HI, I looked into UltraVNC before, problem I had was i think i need to setup the reapter and different computers on different ports or something. Cant remeber but I know its a pain for remote desktop with more than one computer on the network.
I am looking for software that allows me inventory the computers hard ware software etc similiar to O&O i was hoping someone in the field may have other software they use that they can recommend.

We currently use Netsupport Manager to remotely access over 100 client machines. You can also run inventory on them, remotely stop / start services, File transfer etc.

If you want to speak to them regarding a trial etc, trust me some details and I'll pass them onto our account manager to get you sorted.

If a VNC-based solution isn't working for you you might want to try iTALC, which is free. It's meant for classrooms, but it's probably workable for what you want - I dabbled in it years back but haven't looked recently. You'd have to check the license to see if it's allowed for use outside of education.

Impero is excellent (and can certainly be rolled out via the dashboard), but it can be silly expensive. Certainly worth looking at though if you're willing to cough up.

I have logmein on a 150+ pcs but its getting pricey for the basic functionality I need.

Plus LMI's pricing model is utterly ridiculous and designed to benefit them the most with stupidly rigid payment and contract terms.

We've got licenses bought in blocks of 5, some cost X, some cost Y (varying by up to £200 per license) and billed individually per block. The only way to consolidate is to wait to the end of the term and then take another 12 or 18 month contract with no discount.

Try to buy new licenses, and they come in Z amount more than we're already paying for the most expensive existing license block.

Not to mention some are billed in £ and some in $, which they can't change either.

We moved from logmein to Screenconnect. That is licenced per concurrent connection. And it's a licence cost no sub
scription. Well worth it.
