Hi,

Thanks for having a look. I`m thinking of upgrading my AMD 3700+ and going over to Intel C2D and was thinking of going for the following spec.

The machine is used for light gaming, Internet and light work related stuff. I will be looking to overclock the system as well as I have my 3700+ OCed to 2.8 at the moment. The syste will be running windows.

I am going to keep my current graphics card - will upgrade it next month probably as I want to see if anything happens when the new ATI cards come out. I don't need to include a keyboard, mouse or monitor either - not changing my Dell 24" for anything LOL

Here is the spec:-

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA804)

Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler

Antec P180 Advanced Super Midi Tower Case - No PSU (Silver)

NEC AD7170S Serial ATA 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM

Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 NCQ 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

Abit AB9 Quad GT (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)

Total Including Delivery :£675.47

It all looks fine, you might find that the Crucial Ballistix PC5300 is a little cheaper but it apparantly uses the same chips as the PC6400. The Western Digital AAKS drives are a bit faster than the Hitachis but I don't think quite as cheap. :)
