It seems the winning eleven demo is better than pes08

Quite possibly, I'm not sure. I can't imagine it'll be too long before we see a patch sorting things out, if they can get the replays running smooth on the demo, they should be able to do it on the full game as well. It was shoddy programming and I'm sure they're working on it.

Slowdown during replays and corners etc plagued PES6 and they did nothing to fix it so I wont hold my breath :(
The only glimmer of hope is, considering this one is on the PS3 as well as the 360, they may look to fix it.
 
Did you guys install PES2008 to the HD? When I did, it made a world of a difference

I did, although I didn't play it before I installed it so I can't make a comparison. If it makes that much of a difference, then it boggles the mind as to what it must be like when not installed.

That's the thing, I never really suffered from slowdown as a lot of other people never seemed to either (though I know a lot did). With everyone complaining about it, hopefully it's something that Konami won't dismiss so easily this time.
