IT SUPPORT NEEDED...Proxy settings query

I am experiencing problems with my work internet settings. We used to have a seperate internet account setup for when people accessed the internet.

This was then added to the permissions of the LAN account when upgraded so that the users did not need to use a seperate user ID.

So their proxy settings were upgraded. Saying that A is the old and B is the new proxy settings the following is happening.

When mobile users use the internet and dial in we are finding that their settings are reverting back to A.

We can fix this by changing the proxy settings back but this is becoming more frequent.

Where would you suggest that I start to get this to stop reverting back. Surely this reverted settings would be somewhere. How can I change it so that the default is the new one. I am thinking it is something to do with the local policies rather than networked.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone could advice me on this.

Well it might help if you gave some details about your network, and the actual products for a start.

What Proxy Server,
How control these settings, how did you upgrade them
Define what you mean by Users dial in, what use
Is this a Microsoft AD network

However as a quick guess

Assuming a Microsoft AD system then you should be able to set the machines IE settings via GPMC, and then lock down via GPMC.
I suspect that the DialIn Server is a Microsoft system in which case you may find there are setting in there for the Proxy Server settings. Check your DialIn server for these things.
