IT Support - What do you get?

£20 for being on standby 5pm-9pm on weekdays, 9am-9pm on sat & sun.

But if i get called out then it's the following:
Mon-Fri 5pm-9pm
First hour: £25
Every hour after that: £12.50

Saturday 9am-9pm
First hour: £50
Every hour after that: £25

Sunday/Bank Holidays 9am-9pm
First hour: £75
Every hour after that: £50

Not much if i don't get called out, but that doesn't bother me, end up getting a tidy little sum if i do, which is 3-4 times a year,

I work in the NHS, and fall under the 1 in 3. Get 9.5% + time and a half for the time, rounded up in 15min intervals. Works well enough for me, it's quite a tidy little sum extra per month. I would like more, but it's actually the highest on call pay offered in the agenda for change scheme from what I could see. They originally offered 3% !!!!

When on call on the week day, I cover 5.30pm to 8pm, and weekends is 8am to 8pm support. Basically we have to provide 8-8 support everyday for walk in centres, the prison and various other services that pay for our support!

No!

1 in 3 means doing a shift every 3 days, i.e. Mon on, Tues Weds off, Thurs on etc

2 in 6 means doing 2 shifts every 6 days, i.e. it could be Mon on, Tues on, Weds-Sat off.

So while 2 in 6 could be 1 in 3, it also could not be - Ner ner :p Now give me my £30k kplsthx

2 increments which works out at around £1k a year plus £70 a week for being on call (5-9pm weekedays and 10am-4pm weekends)

We divided the week into 8 hour sections, and charge £20 per 8 hour on call.

As site is manned 8 - 4 weekdays are two slots so £40, then weekend days are three slots, £60. Totals is £320 for standby per week, any contact is an hour minimum then always rounded up to nearest half hour, this is paid at 1.5 x monday to saturday and 2x for sunday.

Not the most but not had a single call in over two years but we must still provide service just in case. Requirement is 60 minutes to get onsite if a problem occurs.

Back when i was oncall it worked out as £256 for being oncall for the week. If you were called you couldn't claim for the first hours work and then overtime at either 1.5x (or 2x on Sundays).

But whilst the rota started at 1 in 4 over time it went down for various reasons and I had ~3 years at 1 in 2 (which is a pain if the other person is away) ... in the end after doing 8 months of either 3 or 4 weeks oncall per month, which is good for your bank balance but not your mental health, work decided they needed to rearrange the rotas and I haven't been oncall since.

Fortunately I didn't get to be called that much (probably averaged 2 calls a month)

I meant that we have the option for shift work and the shifts are 2 days, 2 nights 2 off.
