Today i finally made the move and switched off Lastpass, it has never let me down nor have i had any issue's with it. I was going to self host bitwarden/vaultwarden on my nas but when it gets to the part of https and port forwarding
my efforts seem to go **** up and fails. So i have gone down the road of a self hosted keepassxc so far so good it works :)

That requires a small amount of networking knowledge. Normally people run BitWarden behind a reverse proxy but in your case you want to run it on a NAS. I'm unsure on how it's configured on a NAS but I run it on a micro machine using Caddy Web server. It does auto https within a few lines of code.
