Hey guys :)

My flatmate has just been given an iTang MP3 player for her birthday. First of all the menus have come up in Chinese and now it can't get past the "starting" screen. Manual says I need to be in the menu's to do a firmware update (which are in Chinese) and when I went to install the drivers it only has Win 98 on the disk? Says to download drivers etc from their website but Google brings up nothing!

Any ideas? Please! :p

I seriously hope this is a joke :P Anyways, you shouldn't need drivers unless you are Win98 because most of the mp3 players are plug and play, they should show up as a external drive.

That's the problem - it recognised a USB device but not as an external drive which is why I wanted to see if there was a way to solve this

But I was after the site for a firmware upgrade in particular :(

i dunno about the firmware upgrade

But you can check if it shows up in disk management and then assign it a drive letter - which should make it show up under my computer.

That's a good idea, thanks :)

Although tbh I'm starting to think I might tell her to send it back - she doesn't really like the colour anyway :p
