Hi guys.

I really like the look of the Rajintek small form factor cases that are out now. I have two PCs. One is my main Flight Sim rig with the other acting as a server computer. Handling things like running external programs that run alongside Flight Sim.

It basically consists of the recycled parts from my old PC. The biggest problem is it's all in a Corsair 300R. Which takes up so much room and is really overkill for what I'm using the rig for.

I would like to re use some parts and get some new ones within a fairly low budget.

I have these parts spare:

Corsair 300R (if someone wanted to take it off me).
Intel 330 180GB SSD. (may transplant from my main pc if I get Samsung 540).
Geforce 560ti.
Intel i5 2300 cpu.
Corsair H60 cooler.
Corsair 4Gb 1333mhz RAM (old).
Gigabyte H61 Micro ATX motherboard (also dated).
DVD drive.
Old 200GB IDE drive (needs replacing).

Obviously some of these parts will be useless in making a small form build but any advice or shopping baskets would be appreciated.

Not even sure if I need a graphics card now as I only use the pc for watching videos, running apps, web browsing etc. No games at all. I think my 560ti is too big for a small case.

I'm keen on the Intel Anniversary CPU but realise my current i5 2300 is probably more than enough to run things on.

Cheers guys,

Alex.

Just rejigged mine yesterday, fitted a new cooler.

Pretty much the whole mobo with GFX card is within the MITX footprint

My main recommendation is to get a modular PSU if you haven't already. Small cases don't do well with big bundles of extra cables in them. Space is short enough!

+1 for modular psu. I made the mistake of not going modular and it made building my elite 120 build very difficult... never mind the fact that the airflow situation in that computer is not ideal.
