Is there any way to stream the videos bought from iTMS to another device?
I don't really want to buy an appleTV just to stream content i might buy from the the music store?
If not, what do you use to convert avi's to MP4 format so i can put them on my iPhone?

If you don't have an AppleTV then no

Something like visualhub should do the trick for converting files, or videora if your on a windows box

Ok thanks. Is there an easy way to get apple TV to play DivX?

Rather than use appleTV, would i be aswell just using my macbook with a DVi connector into a tv? also how would i get sound? Through the headphone jack?
Oh one last question, is there a way i could use my iphone or iPod to output the video to the TV? Not ideal but might consider it if it was simple, cheap and the quality was good.

Yep, thats how I used to do it, DVI and headphone jack. I use isquirt to covert avi files, it's a nice program with prlenty of presets for the likes of apple tv and ipods.

You can output video from your ipod to your tv quite easily using the apple dock or the audio//visual cable. I think the quality is only s-video though, so it's fairly crap (along the lines of VCD's). Not sure if this works with the iphone though. Personally I'd recommend getting an apple tv. It's a great bit of kit. It has completely changed the way I watch movies and listen to music.

I don't really want to spend 200 quid on an apple TV when i have an xbox 360 and PS3 which can stream media with no problem, the only thing they can't do is stream stuff bought from it iTMS.
I assume there is no way to burn and then reimport the videos to remove the DRM?

Videos, no, not that I know off. You can do this music easily though.

Burn it as an audio CD then reimport it?

Yes, that's they way. But remember there s a limit to how many times you can burn a protected mp3 file, I think it's 3. So it's best to re-import the file straight away.

I read on the net that the guy that cracked the encryption on DVDs has released a piece of software called "doubletwist", this strips out the drm on music. Might also work on videos? Never tried it, but it might be what you're after.
