What are the specs of the Integra Type R lads, the one before the DC5(logic says it should be dc4 but i think its a dc3?) its a 97 model anyway its got 1.8 engine in it, i thought the ITR came with the 2.0 engine the same as the current CTR?

Just to put you off, it's the same engine as used in my re-badged Rover 400 (though in a higher state of tune) ;)

??
Never knew that Honda put 1.8 ltr engines into Rovers, though I'm aware that the 1.6 in some cars was a Honda unit.

With the 1.8 VTI it is the same engine (although as Dogbreath says it is lower tuned, and has different gearing) as a DC2 ITR. The 1.8 VTI shares the same chassis as the Rover 400/45 with a few changes I think. Bland..just the way I like it.

Didnt think the 400 (joint project with Honda) had a 1.8 NA unit until you get to the newer Z-series? When I was looking to buy one before I got my Civic there was a 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 IIRC which where K-series units and not a hint of Vtec in sight?

They didn', when Dogbreath refers to his rebadged Rover 400 he means his Civic VTi.

Yup the VTi has the B18 too, but absolutely rubbish gear ratios compared to the ITR.

LOL. Indeed it does, the VTi would be hardly any different with the ITR gearbox in. My VTI used to annoy the hell out of me the way it dropped off vtec changeover point when going up the box.

It does annoy me - you're the guy who put the ITR box in arent you?

Id love to do that to mine, my brothers GTi6 puts mine to shame at low revs in 2nd.

Refering to me?
No mate, I went and bought the ITR and swapped in my VTI for it as I wanted those figure hugging recaros :D Although my arse has grown wider from sitting around doing IT support for years so I wouldn't mind those VTI seats back now LOL

LOL! :D

Yeah there was a guy on here who swapped his VTi box for the ITR box and he said the difference was amazing.

Still, Id rather have an ITR anyway. :D

To the OP - Spec is: simple, light, fast and fun :D
