iTrip and iPhone

Was in the Apple store yesterday to get n iTrip, and the bloke reckons it doesn't work with the iPhone. Now I've googled and people seem to reckon it does. Anyone here using one with an iPhone successfully ?

Is it any good?

I have one from Griffin, can't remember if it's called an itrip. It is an in-car model with a lighter jack for power. It does not work with my iphone, comes up with an on screen message saying it's not compatible. It is quite old though (2 years), the newer ones might work.

Apparently they come up with that error, but if you ignore it and start playing a track it works. Might be worth a try with yours.

Didn't work with mine - just played out the normal phone speakers.
